he leaves a large circle of friends.
While his death was a shock to re1-
atives and friends. He at one time
operated a grocery store in the
community in which he /ived as a
younger man. Surviving are his
widow,"Mrs. Edith Wdtfe, and one
son, Samuel, and one grandchiht;
also one brother, Itoward Wolfe,
and two sister~s. Mrs. Nellie Bell
and Miss Gertie Wolfe, all of Wash
ington, D. C. Burial was made at
Silver Spring.
Quite a number of women from
Boliar are working at the Mussel-
man Plant at Inwood, W. Va.
, Miss Julia Keller has been indis-
I)o~ed at her home in Bolivar for
the past week.
The Lions Club ,()f Harpers Fer-
ry and Bolivar, which was recently
organized, was delightfully enter-
rained ,m last Wednesday evening
on tbe lawn at the home of Mr and
Mr~. Maynard Stallings. Retresh-
ments and a weinie roast, were en-
joyed by those present.

past few days in New Philadelphia,
Pa with the family of Mr and Mrs
Anthony 'Ruczko.
Mr Ernest Webb and Mr George
Webb of Baltimore spent the Labor
Day holidays at the home of Mr.

Hill.

spent last Wednesday in Baltimore.
Mr and Mrs Raymond Jovse of
Mount Airy North Carolina~ were
recent visitors at the home of Mr

felt Dailey returned home with
them for a week's visit.

visiting Mr and Mrs Robert Iter-
long in Washington, D. C.
Mrs. S. T. McDevitt of Washing-
ton, D. C is visiting at the home
of Mr and Mrs Harry J. Lawsq~.
Miss Josephine Webber and sis-
ter-in-law, Mrs Joseph Webber, of
Washington( D. C spent the Labor
Day holidays at the Webber Cot-
